My neighbour always loved children but couldn’t have any of her own. (she adopted two). My third child was the smallest human being she had ever seen when she visited me at home after his birth. Even though he was quite big, he was smaller than the 60 cm size when newborn. But then, what’s the point of buying the very smallest, when they grow so fast? They just have to tolerate things roomy. Nobody’s asking them, anyway.
(Although, to be fair to myself, I always felt for them when they looked uncomfortable, and much preferred them naked for as long as it was warm and dry enough.)
Note: my children were raised in terry nappies. It’s even simpler to do that now. Disposables are a disgusting waste problem, unless they’ve changed a lot.
